Heading South

We was hoping to be in Vietnam for chinese new year but buses were pretty non existent so we decided to head south of Laos. We arrived Pakse after 11 hours. W ith swollen ankles it was then back on a bus to Si Phan Don (Four Thousand Islands) also home to Irrawaddy dolphins. We caught a longtail to Don Det Island. It was very chilled & relaxed. We hung out at the beach with a water buffalo & in the evening headed to a cool bar were everything was HAPPY!! The next day is was back on the bus to Pakse for another 6 hour bus journey to Savannakhet. We arrived late & spent the night in the bus station. We was woken at 6 o'clock in the morning by Karaoke pumpimg out of the speakers. It was then back on the bus crossing our fingers that we would finally get across the boarder into Vietnam!!
